My Right Brain

A good friend shared this verse with me the other day and it continues to dumbfound me every time I read it.

But me he caught—reached all the way
from sky to sea; he pulled me out
Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos,
the void in which I was drowning.
They hit me when I was down,
      but God stuck by me.
   He stood me up on a wide-open field;
I stood there saved—surprised to be loved!

Psalm 18: 16-19

While I was in school, I studied accounting.  This involves numbers, details, analysis, etc. While this stuff is all very much me and how my mind works, I am so ready for a break! To me, summer means focusing on the other half of my brain that has slowly atrophied these past 4 years. I am ready to break open the abstract and uncertain world of creativity, imagination, and faith.

Time to explore and grow:

  • GOD.
  • music.
  • meaningful conversations.
  • art.
  • scrapbooking.
  • literature.
  • nature.

Let summer begin!

epic fail.

Let me just say that it is very hard to start a blog without having the cliche "this is my first post on my first blog" type comment. and as you can see, epic fail.
